01 Biography

FELIP (Felip Jhon Suson) is a Filipino performer, producer, entrepreneur, and a rising tastemaker in music and fashion. More popularly known as Ken of globally-recognized P-pop group SB19, he has shown tremendous talent and versatility as the group’s vocalist and main dancer. 

Growing up as a singer and instrumentalist in a small church led by his grandfather in his hometown in Mindanao, music has always been part of his life. His dancing skills, on the other hand, was something he accidentally discovered when he needed to dance for a school project. Since then, he has cultivated his talents through rigorous training, competitions, and performances. 

Over the years, he has perfected these skills and sensibilities into his own, unique brand of modern pop music and artistry.

02 Work

FELIP is the name he uses for his solo releases. FELIP is a fierce, confident, and versatile performer who successfully combines his great sense of style, with his sharp, yet striking movements and an impressively wide vocal range.

In September 2021, he made his solo debut with 'Palayo', a song he wrote and co-produced with Josue that pays homage to his Bisdak roots. The track was recognized by HipHopDX as one of Asia's best tracks of 2021. 

Prior to this, he also collaborated with Matthaios, Soulthrll, and Michael Pacquiao in a remix of ‘Pangga’, in which he also wrote and performed his verse in his native language.

'Bulan', released in May 2022, marks another milestone in FELIP's journey as an artist as he continues to push out the boundaries for local pop music. Combining the elements of hip-hop, rap, and rock music with indigenous Filipino mythology, folklore, and artistry, his comeback single is an absolute visual and auditory treat for local and international audiences alike.

In July of the same year, his music career continued to take off as he became the first artist to represent the Philippines in the Recording Academy's (GRAMMYs) Global Spin—a digital series spotlighting performances from notable artists or groups to celebrate both the creators and their home countries.

FELIP dropped 'ROCKSTA' in January 2023, which was the first single from his first EP, COM•PLEX. It was an instant hit as the track received over 1 Million Spotify streams and 400 Thousand YouTube views in little over a month of its release. He then launched his full COM•PLEX EP in February 2023 and promoted it with a string of launch parties, radio tours, and live performances.

FELIP continues to ride the wave of his success with two of his tracks from COM•PLEX debuting on Spotify's Viral 50 Philippines Charts in early March 2023.

To cap off 2023, FELIP was part of Warner Music Philippine's 30th anniversary compilation covering 'Moving Closer' by Never the Strangers, which peaked at #26 on the Spotify PH Viral 100 Charts. He also released 'Kanako' in December of 2023 as a surprise 'thank you' to his fans.

Together with his the Davao-bred bisdak brothers from Warner Music Philippines, PLAYERTWO, FELIP released two collab tracks, 'FLYYY' and 'Pagdali' in January and February 2024 respectively, followed by a Billboard Philippines feature as part of The Pinoy Hip-Hop Class of 2024.

In April of 2024, FELIP came back with 'Fake Faces', a track produced with renowned producer Hyuk Shin and Seann Bowe of 153JoombasAPL who have worked with artists and groups like Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa, The Veronicas, and SM Entertainment Group. 

03 Ventures

With all the milestones he has achieved in his career, FELIP is just getting started. 

Two months after his successful solo debut, he surprised his fans when he officially launched his streetwear brand, SUPERIOR SON, in November 2021. Described as the perfect balance between style and comfort, and crystal-clear and disruptive appeal, his venture into retail proved to be another success with each release selling out in minutes.

04 Recognition

As a member of SB19, FELIP has had his share of prestigious local and international awards, most notably as the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs). As an individual/solo artist, he has also been awarded as:
